Please note, this role will work in a NPI Engineer position for the 1st year and then either a Process Analyst or Process Engineer in the 2nd year depending on the country of your choice.

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

 

This project is part of our journey to increase the diversity in our teams across the world. It’s a 2-year project where you’ll start your career in the Ashford plant for the first year and then relocate to one of the following plants in Chartres (France), Granollers (Spain) or Senador (Brazil) for another year. The principle is that you will move to a country that is different from your country of origin. The goal is to continue the career journey once finished the project, either in the country of the assignment at hand or in any other country within Coty.

 

We’re looking for Graduate New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to join our Technical Product Services team the following location: Ashford (UK).

 

As our graduate NPI engineer in Ashford, you will be working on one or several dedicated assignments to support the introduction of new product initiatives. You will be doing this in our manufacturing plant and we will support you in your development along the way.

 

THE ROLE

 

Your main tasks will be:

  • Lead and deliver innovation engineering projects.
  • Provide day to day engineering problem solving support.
  • Identify and execute cost saving opportunities through engineering proposals.
  • Partner and build effective working relationships with R&D and equipment suppliers.
  • Support continuous improvement activities alongside local and global functions such as marketing, R&D, procurement, and operations.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

 

We’d love to see candidates who have:

  • B.S. Degree in an Engineering Discipline
  • 0 to 2 years of working experience. Any experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, contributing to root cause problem solving, Lean Manufacturing practices and/or continuous improvement is a plus.
  • Knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes, methodologies and mathematical/engineering methods to solve problems in a manufacturing environment, (know the tools such as poka yoke / mistake proofing / pFMEA, SMED, 5S, ect., familiar with Key Performance Indicator reporting, Loss Tree, 5-whys, etc.)
  • Advanced Office packages skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Fluency in English and ideally in French, Spanish or Portuguese
  • Able to communicate efficiently, Good team worker but also able to work autonomously
