Newlands is a residential service, offering individualised and tailored support for up to 12 adults with learning disabilities, complex needs and behaviours that can challenge.

We support people to plan for their future, through identifying aspirations, goals and areas of development

What you’ll be doing:

Shifts will include – 8am to 4pm, 2pm to 10pm, 12pm to 8pm and 2pm to 10pm followed by a sleep in then a day shift of 7am to 3pm. Working 2 weekends per month. Supporting adults on a 1-1 basis. Encouraging the people we support to take part in their chosen activities and hobbies. Ensuring the people we support maintain and develop their community links. As well as supporting them to access the community, you will encourage them to engage in leisure pursuits to support their independent living and life skills. Promote positive health and well-being of the people that you support, enabling them to have a meaningful life.

 Who you are:

Resilient, fun & friendly. Flexible and able to work the shifts required. You will also have a willingness to cover waking nights when needed. Positive, motivated and passionate about supporting others. You will have an empathetic and compassionate approach. Self-motivated and committed to the role. Experience in a social care setting would be beneficial. All applicants must hold a full and valid Driver’s license due to the needs of the service.
