Statement of WorkDetails

Recruits and screenspatients for inclusion in protocols and clinicaltrials.

Assist research and medicalstaff interview screen and evaluate the appropriateness of eligiblesubjects for participation in the research protocol.

Recruit and follow up with patients for clinical andbasic research studies and protocols and provide clinical supportto patients participating in protocol.

Performs assessments and physicals and collectsmedical histories.

Obtain and recordcomplete health histories and conduct physical assessments;communicate data from these and other sources.

Continually assess ongoing understanding of the research processfor patients and families and provide teaching and support asindicated.

Administers protocolconsents and documentation and monitorscompliance.

Perform quality assuranceand quality control activities relating to protocol adherenceprotocol monitoring data collection data abstraction and dataanalysis and protect research

participant datain accordance with regulatory requirements.

Performs data input andmanagement.

Maintain computerizedpatient files and databases containing research data generatedthrough protocol studies and perform data searches of medicalrecords for analyses of patient characteristics.

Performs clinical data interpretation andevaluates and interprets protocol and clinical trialfindings.

Monitor activitiespertaining to clinical protocols such as monitoring patientrecruitment and retention trial progress and the need for extensionor renewal of ongoing trials.

Participates in training and mentoring newstaff.

Provide mentorship developingskills and expertise in research protocols and all aspects ofclinical research.

Develops newresearch protocols.

Design implementand evaluate complex protocols and manage challenging patientpopulations and assist with document preparations andprocesses.
