Assessing the needs of citizens of Bristol and carers, you will plan, implement, review, and evaluate outcomes; working for and with individuals, taking care to understand their unique circumstances and priorities. Championing the principles of choice and control, you will also support people to make their own decisions; and to be empowered to have services organised, and risks managed, in ways that are right for them. Constantly maintaining your professional standards as our service continues to develop, you will keep a keen eye on changing needs; from developing and reviewing support plans and provision, to enabling the creative use of resources including assistive tech, providing Social Care that is always fit for the future.
Registered with Social Work England, you will have a Social Work or relevant SWE qualification or you are an undergraduate completing your social work degree.
You will be highly motivated, with lots of initiative, and will demonstrate the ability to adapt your interventions in response to all kinds of people, in a range of working environments; and be naturally collaborative, bringing to the role a flair for building relationships, and working in partnership.
Passionate about person centred Social Care, you will also have a proven talent for involving people in decision making and building on their strengths. In return, we will build on your strengths, with excellent opportunities to develop and progress.
To apply for the advanced grade post (BG12) You will undertake an additional role including Approved Mental Health Professional, Best Interest Assessor, Practice Assessor, or another role as agreed by the career progressionboard. You will be expected to take on the additional duties associated with the role including, active participation on a rota or having a social work student along with undertaking ongoing CPD to maintain your currency to practice in chosen specialism.
