We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Asset Inspector to join our vibrant team at the world-renowned Port of Dover.

As an Asset Inspector, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and safety of our port. This thrilling role involves conducting condition assessments and inspections of a variety of fascinating landside and marine assets, including buildings, bridges, roadways, piers, quays, and breakwaters. You will independently plan and perform asset inspections, prepare and review risk assessments, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption to port operations. You will document defects, recommend maintenance and repair strategies, and manage reports in our electronic asset management system. Additionally, supervising contractors on minor constructions and maintenance projects will be a key part of your role.

Hours of Work: Full time

Asset Inspector Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Mathematics.
• HNC in Civil Engineering, Building Surveying, or similar construction-related discipline, or Trade apprenticeship to a minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent Vocational Training.
• Prior experience in asset condition inspections is desirable but not essential.
• Full driving licence and your own transport.
• Physical fitness to work at heights, over water, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
