Job Description

  • Flexible working - We are guided by our client work and needs; however, you have autonomy to manage your time and diary to suit your work/life balance.
  • Travel to client site will be necessary as and when the client requires
  • Please note that PA Consulting operates a hybrid working policy. There will be an expectation for you to work from either a PA office and/or client location at least 2 x per week (based on the assumption of a 5 day working week).
  • Location - This role will be aligned to our London office, based in Victoria.

Reports to: Senior / Principal Consultant

You will have opportunity to:

As a Sourcing and IT Strategy Consultant, you will have the opportunity to help our clients solve the most complex and challenging issues affecting business and government by:

  • Designing strategic sourcing solutions which balance the appropriate mix of internal and external IT and Business Process services, so that organisations benefit from fit-for-the-future services and capabilities;
  • Leading complex transition programmes and workstreams to transform IT and business services, to make the change happen by building new organisations, cultures, supplier relationships and transitioning services to new delivery models;
  • Shaping and delivering global operating and delivery models that enable the exploitation of modern, digital ways of working.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant Sourcing or Transformation experience in an IT/digital environment;
  • Preference for previous consultancy experience;
  • Demonstrable experience of contributing to major bid and proposal development (consulting bid or supplier/service bid – either way desirable but not essential);
  • Broad knowledge of the technology services marketplace and exposure to outsourcing application, infrastructure and workplace services (including cloud, SaaS, AI solutions);
  • Ability to define business and IT services, requirements and SLAs;
  • Experience across the outsourcing lifecycle (strategy, delivery, transition, service optimisation and remediation), including business cases, cost and commercial models;
  • A proven ability to shape effective procurement strategies and negotiate robust commercial solutions;
  • Expertise in technology delivery disciplines (e.g. IT strategy, IT service management, agile delivery, IT project management).
