Job summary

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic seniorphysiotherapists to join our outpatient team. Successful candidates will beresponsible for the assessment and treatment of a mixed musculoskeletalcaseload as well as leading rehabilitation classes.

Job responsibilities

The post holder isresponsible for:

Assessing and treating own caseload ofpatients who may have complex presentations whilst maintaining own records asan autonomous practitioner Treating musculoskeletal outpatients who maypresent with a variety of acute and chronic pain patterns, significant physicalimpairments due to pain or injury, psychological issues, post-operativerehabilitation requirements Providing a high standard of clinical workwhich will also include teaching and the supervision of junior staff,assistants and students Deputising for the Team Leader/PhysiotherapyServices Manager

Person Specification

Knowledge

Essential

Basic working knowledge of anatomy, physiology and MSK pathology Basic knowledge of assessment and treatment tools for speciality

Qualifications

Essential

Degree/diploma equivalent HCPC Registration Evidence of CPD Post-graduate training relevant to clinical speciality

Desirable

Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) Member of CSP special interest group

Experience

Essential

12 months post-qualification as a Band 5 physiotherapist, covering a broad range of experience including musculoskeletal outpatients Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy team and/or MDT

Desirable

6 months experience in musculoskeletal outpatients Evidence of student or physiotherapy assistant supervision

Skills

Essential

Competency and ability to assess and treat core patient caseload in specialist field Articulate with good communication skills Basic IT skills Ability to organise, prioritise and delegate
