We have flexible shift opportunities at our Pontypool Dialysis Unit for nurses with current NMC Registration and dialysis experience.

Pontypool Dialysis Unit is a dynamic 15 station unit providing haemodialysis treatment for 60 patients in partnership with the NHS Trust. The unit operates safe staffing with a protected 3:1 patient to nurse ratio.

As a Casual Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment whilst achieving work-life balance Comprehensive inhouse training will be provided on B Braun dialysis machines, policies, and practice.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• To provide a high quality standard of patient care
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care needs of patients both pre and post dialysis
• Monitoring and recording patients’ vital signs
• Develop and expand theoretical knowledge and practical skills involved in the care of dialysis patients
• Promote and maintain professional relationships with patients and colleagues, including the multi-disciplinary team
• To work within our Policies and Procedures and adhere to the Quality Manual and Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines

• Dialysis experience
• Dedicated to providing exceptional patient care
• Committed and eager to learn new skills
• An excellent communicator
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Aptitude for acquiring clinical skill techniques
• Flexible to cover the needs of the patients/unit

Hours of work:

• Long Day = 07:00 – 18:30
• Monday to Saturday, No Sunday or night shifts
