Main duties of the job

The role of the hospital practitioner in cardiology is to supportour specialist service under the supervision of a nominated secondarycare consultant. The post holderwill see patientsin the outpatient setting under the supervision of a named consultant. The post holderwill also initiateand interpret clinicalinvestigations. The post holder will communicatewith the patient and referring GP with diagnosis and any further management andrecommendations that may be required.

GPVTS Trained or equivalent Full GMC registration MB ChB or equivalent MRCGP
