Job Description

Job Title: Inventory Clerk

Department: Inventory

Location: Warehouse

Reports To: Loss prevention manager

Job Purpose:

To assist the LPMand Team Leader in the effective and accurate maintenance of the Service Centre Inventory System. To assist in the audit of all Inventory related tasks/functions and ensure correct procedures are followed.

All staff are expected to understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use (2013/C 68/01) which is reflected in our SOP – REF Chapter 1 AHDL GDP It will be a requirement for all staff to be trained in this SOP and have an annual refresher. All other GDP training will be job specific and as per your personal training matrix

Key Accountabilities

To ensure correct processing of new and discontinued lines. To ensure processing and audit of all Adjustments, Stock Movements and Invoice amendments. To count stock accurately in accordance with schedule. To complete daily all Inventory Control Sheets. To ensure adherence to date checking and stock rotation procedures and minimise stock write-off. To assist with the reconciliation of company stock takes as required. To carry out any reasonable request as determined by Management.

What your background should look like 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

Essential

High Visual Accuracy

Good verbal communication skills

Intermediate written communication skills

Intermediate numeracy and literacy

Customer care

Desirable

Any previous experience of working in a warehouse environment would be highly desirable

MANUAL HANDLING

It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are “essential requirements” of this role.
