We have an exciting opportunity for aband 6/7 speech and language therapist, to work within our friendly team of 7speech and language therapists at Watford General Hospital. The role wouldrequire you to work on the acute general wards and covering stroke ward whenrequired. This role provides an exciting opportunity to develop skills andknowledge within the areas of stroke and acute wards. You will have theopportunity to work alongside highly skilled and experienced colleagues.

If you are successful in yourapplication to this post, you will be expected to manage and deliver on theresponsibilities outlined below as well as those not included here, calltoday to discuss further:

Determine and carry out advanced assessments forclients and evaluate the outcome to make appropriate clinical decisions, includinga differential diagnosis.

Adapt specialist care plans to the changingneeds of the client integrating the clients goals, changing circumstances andany ongoing assessment information.

Assess needs, identify appropriate equipment(including high- and low-tech communication aids), coordinate trials/purchaseof equipment, introduce augmentative communication equipment to the clients andcarers and to monitor changing needs for appropriate clients.
