Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operatives x 10

Fixed Term – 1st July to 30th November 2024.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operative, as part of the Grounds Maintenance Highways and Parks team, within Parks & Countryside.

The successful applicants will be working at one of nine various locations which will include Wirral Country Park, Birkenhead Park, Highway verges and one of six Parks depots across the Wirral.

We are seeking dedicated people to join the team carrying out ground’s maintenance works within the park, including grass cutting, bowling green maintenance, sports pitch maintenance, vegetation control, management of shrub stock and cleansing operations.

You should have a variety of experience in tools and machinery use including ride-on mowers; understand and demonstrate safe working practices, and be able to work both alongside a team, and independently.

We are looking for keen, enthusiastic, self-motivated people, experienced in this type of work, capable of working and liaising with a wide diversity of people and experience in the following:

Developing and promoting Alleyway improvements. Working to scheduled work that has been set by managers. Dealing with the public and voluntary groups.

Above all you will be looking to improve the way we engage with our employees, residents, and customers to ensure they are at the heart of everything we do.
