About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in maintaining continuity in the classroom, covering lessons across various subjects when teachers are absent. This position is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, and individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable experience in the education sector. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Inspire: Manage classrooms, delivering pre-set lesson plans and keeping students engaged and focused on their work.
  • Support and Supervise: Ensure a safe, supportive, and productive learning environment, maintaining classroom behaviour and providing assistance where needed.
  • Build Relationships: Establish positive relationships with students and staff, contributing to a cohesive and collaborative school culture.
  • Adapt and Engage: Step into different subjects with ease, adapting to the needs of each class and school day.
  • Encourage Independence: Support students in staying on task, encouraging them to take responsibility for their own learning.

  • Confidence and Presence in the classroom, with strong communication skills to engage students across various year groups.
  • Experience working with young people is ideal, whether in education, coaching, tutoring, or youth work.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility, ready to handle different subjects, age groups, and school environments.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed.
  • Ability to manage behaviour effectively while remaining positive and encouraging.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate and on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)
