Graduate Thermal Engineer

Location: HS Marston Aerospace Ltd - Wolverhampton

Labour grade: TBC

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

Education – Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Maths / Physics Computer Literacy – Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Experience programming in MATLAB or Python essential, with experience in CFD flow and conjugate heat transfer modelling in Star CCM+ beneficial. Other Skills – Strong analytical and numeracy skills, good communication (verbal/ written) with the ability to work independently as well as in a team. Knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics are essential. Experience using CAD packages such as Siemens NX and/or other commercial CAD tools would be beneficial.

This position will involve access to export-controlled information and hardware where an export license would be required for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Employment will be subject to satisfactory security checks, export license approval, and if required, completion of a non-disclosure agreement

Senior Thermal Engineer

Education – Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a numerate discipline (Maths/Physics, etc.) Industry Experience – Aerospace/Automotive preferred but not compulsory Computer Literacy – Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Experience programming in MATLAB, Excel VBA and CFD flow and conjugate heat transfer modelling in Star CCM+ are essential. Other Skills – Strong analytical skills, good communication (verbal/ written) with the ability to work independently as well as in a team. Knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics are essential with experience in vapour cycle component analysis. Experience using nTopology and CAD packages such as Siemens NX and/or other commercial CAD tools would be beneficial.
