One of our very goodfamilies in Chelsea s Sloane Square is looking for a full timeprofessional and experienced housekeeper to join theirhousehold.

Pleaseonly apply if you have high standards are naturally organisedproactive and genuinely take pride in excellence ofhousekeeping.
One ofour nannies has been working with this wonderful family and isextremely happy with them they are wonderful people and wonderfulemployers. They keep their staff longterm.

Thefamily is flexible on which full time hours you will work either8am til 4pm or 9am til 5pm. Monday to Friday. This is a full timepermanent and long termjob.

Thefamily employs other staff and have a separate housekeeper who issolely responsible for their children s part of the house. Your jobwill be to look after the part of the house which is used only bythe 2 parents only. This comprises 1 bedroom 1 bathroom largedressing room kitchenetc.

Atop level of housekeeping and home maintenance is required.Cleaning tidying dusting etc. and when the family is away you willconduct a fully deep clean of the parent sapartment.

Thefamily travels frequently and your hours continue and you willsolely be London based (no travel) You will maintain the homewhether the family is home oraway.

Atthe end of next year the family shall be moving to a larger housewith more staff (chef driver team of cleaners) You will have theopportunity to apply for the role of Head Housekeeper if you areperformingwell

Tasksinclude:

Cleaning:

Vacuuming

Dusting

Polishing

Moppingkitchen and bathroom.

Keeping all rooms very clean tidy andorganised.

Steam cleaning.
Caring for delicate surfaces such as fine woods marble andgranite.
Polishing silver and delicateornaments.
Mending whereappropriate

  • Keepthe parents wardrobe and closets tidy andorganized.
  • Implementand maintain a system for organizing clothing by type colour seasonor frequency ofuse.
  • Occasionaldeclutter and arrange items to ensure easyaccess.
Laundryand GarmentCare:
  • Washdry iron and fold or hang clothingappropriately.
  • Handledelicate fabrics and specialty items according to careinstructions. Must have knowledge and experience with cashmere andsilksetc.
  • Arrangefor dry cleaning of items that require professionalcare.
RepairsandAlterations:
  • Identifyclothing items that need repairs such as missing buttons brokenzippers or looseseams.
  • Performminor repairs or arrange for professional alterations asneeded.
PackingandUnpacking:
  • Helpto Pack and unpack clothing for travel ensuring that the client hasappropriate outfits for their destination andactivities.
  • Ensureitems are packed to minimize wrinkles anddamage.
StorageSolutions:
  • Implementeffective storage solutions for clothing shoes andaccessories.
  • Usegarment bags storage boxes and organizers to protect items fromdust anddamage.

Organisingand arranging repairs grocery delivery drycleaners.

Ensure fridge and pantryis stocked with essentials (milk eggs breadetc)

Youshould have a minimum of basic cooking skills. Next year the familywill employ a private chef. And be able to cook simple meals fromtime to time for theparents.

Requirements:

  • Demonstratedexperience in household management including skills in delicategarmentcare.
  • Proficiencyin hand washing ironing and steam cleaning techniques for delicatefabrics.
  • Strongattention to detail and a keen eye for identifying and treatingstains.
  • Knowledgeof proper storage solutions to preserve delicategarments.
  • Excellentorganizational skills and the ability to prioritise tasksefficiently.
