An opportunity has opened for a Qualified Teacher in a SEN school in Bournemouth. The pupils are of secondary age (11-18) with specialised needs including Autism, physical disabilities and other profound learning needs meaning that students are working at a much lower level than in mainstream education and class size reduced.

Lessons are designed to be fun and activity based, placing focus on supporting each individuals needs, building confidence and providing practical skills. The school also offers vocational courses which will equip students with skills to support them through life and employment. All students in the centre have an Educational Healthcare Plan which is the key focus for learning and drives their personalised curriculum. You will be responsible for delivering creative and engaging lessons for small classes of children with profound, multiple and severe learning, health and care needs. This is a great opportunity for qualified teachers to enhance personal development by gaining experience in a specialist setting

To work as a Special Educational Needs Teacher, you will ideally hold QTS or QTLS or have relevant experience as a teacher. Solid experience working with vulnerable children is beneficial, but we want to hear from ALL teachers.
