Henry de Bromhead Racing is looking for a Barn ManagerGood Salary plus Bonus depending on experience. Wonderful opportunity to work with one of Ireland’s leading Trainers. The ideal candidate :•Will have a good working knowledge of all aspects of horsemanship and oversee the proper care of horses (experience in racing a bonus but not a necessity)•Understand basic medical treatments (training will be provided for a more in-depth knowledge of treating and assessing issues)•Will be responsible for overseeing the general maintenance and upkeep of the barn.•Will be able to supervise a team of employees and help mentor them•Oversee Feeding, Supplements, Watering, Worming and Shoeing•The candidate for this job does not need to know how to ride but if they would like to, that can be factored in as part of the job spec.•We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and organised individual who can work off their own initiative.Waterford offers a host of wonderful amenities, which include great schools, beaches, restaurants.
