Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage children in a variety of stimulating activities that promote their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a sense of belonging and trust within the nursery community.
  • Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, tailoring activities to meet the individual needs and interests of each child.
  • Support children's learning through play-based experiences, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities that inspire curiosity and creativity.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, keeping accurate records of their development and achievements.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or NNEB).
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their holistic development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work culture.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and upholding the highest standards of practice.
