A challenging opportunity exists for a methodical and organised engineer to join our F1 design office as Bill of Materials Controller. We’re seeking a team player with an excellent eye for detail, someone who’ll flourish in our dynamic environment, using computer systems to set-up Bill of Materials structures with Design Engineers, then check and validate engineering part releases.

As Bill of Materials Controller, you will:

Manage and check data so that parts transition correctly from design to manufacture in a timely manner.

Assist designers and the project team with the design release process.

Check parts and assemblies within our systems, to ensure the required engineering change rules are followed.

Communicate with design engineers regarding any issues arising.

Align the bill of materials with the requirements of manufacturing, inventory control and race engineering.

Our ideal candidate is someone who has:

An engineering qualification at degree level, HND level or equivalent.

2+ years working in an engineering or manufacturing business and experience working with computer systems.

Strong attention to detail.

Someone who is comfortable checking data.

An understanding of bill of materials structures and how they’re necessary to manufacture products.

Ability to communicate with clarity to a range of stakeholders.

A collaborative attitude who enjoys problem solving and thinking critically.

The role is important to the success of our engineering process and will give the successful candidate exposure to the F1 development programme.

Working within the Design Quality team in the Vehicle Design department, this role contributes towards Williams Racing’s digital engineering change management initiatives.

Training in our software will be given.
