Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Create individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit the learning styles of students with SEN
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the students' education

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and best practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of different special educational needs and how to support them
  • Ability to create engaging and effective learning materials
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Empathy and patience when working with students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in specific SEN areas (e.g. autism, dyslexia)
  • Experience using assistive technology to support students with SEN

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work primarily in a classroom or educational setting
  • Potential for remote tutoring sessions
  • Collaboration with other education professionals and parents
