Job Description

The Lifeguard 1 monitors aquatic activities at Cleveland Metroparks Ledge Pool location to prevent, recognize and respond to emergencies. This position enforces rules and regulations to prevent injuries and increases guest safety by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors.

Uniforms are provided (swim suits, t-shirts, rain jackets, sweatshirts, hats, etc.)

Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required. All Cleveland Metroparks employees must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required. Monitor pool-related activities closely throughout shift and identify any safety issues Direct swimmers out of the pool in hazardous conditions Maintain a clean environment in and around the pool Provide assistance to patrons when appropriate or necessary Monitoring designated areas to recognize signs of danger Performing first aid procedures Performs other duties as assigned or apparent
