Job Description:
Orion Innovation is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst to join our Sports Vertical team. In this role, you will directly report to the Vertical Delivery Manager/Head and play a pivotal role in our software development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analysing business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of programmes/projects.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements for software development projects within the Sports Vertical.Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and other technical specifications for development teams.Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure clear understanding and alignment on project deliverables.Facilitate workshops, meetings, and brainstorming sessions to elicit requirements and drive consensus among stakeholders.Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.Act as a subject matter expert on the Sports Vertical domain, providing guidance and insights to both technical and non-technical team members.Mentor junior members of the Business Analysis team and contribute to their professional development.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role, with a strong understanding of Agile Scrum principles.Proven experience working on software development projects, preferably within the sports industry or related vertical.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.Experience with cloud platforms and modern technology stacks is highly desirable.Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus.Join us at Orion Innovation and be part of a dynamic team that is shaping the future of enterprise software solutions in the sports industry.
