As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide valuable classroom support, work with students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis and help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment. This is a great opportunity to start or grow your career in education, with full-time and part-time positions available for an immediate start.

Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:

  • Help teachers prepare lessons and set up fun classroom activities.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who need a little extra help.
  • Work with students with special needs to ensure everyone feels included.
  • Keep track of how students are doing and share that with teachers.
  • Encourage good behaviour and help create a positive atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Supervise students during lunch and breaks to keep them safe and happy.

Requirements of the Teaching Assistant:

  • A passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is beneficial but not required.
  • Any relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are an advantage but not essential.

To work with GSL Education as a Teaching Assistant, you should: 

  • Have the right to work in the UK. 
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. 
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
