Job summary

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed CAMHS Practitioners on a part time basis ( hours per week) to join the Getting Advice Team Pathway in Doncaster for a period of 12 months to cover maternity leave.

This is an exciting time to join our evolving service in the Getting Advice Pathway, where we are committed to improving access to mental health advice and support for children, young people, and their families. This will be a dynamic role where no two days will be the same. This will involve triaging, assessment, and providing consultation and formulation to young people, families, partner agencies and helping to identify the most appropriate support for each young person at the most appropriate time. You will be expected to develop strong working relationships with partner agencies so excellent communication skills are a must. Ideally the successful candidate will also be fully conversant with the assessment process and have some knowledge of formulation.

Applications are invited from qualified Registered Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists and you must be prepared to work in various community settings alongside partner providers. Successful applicants will be required to co-work effectively with colleagues and maintain good clinical records and data collections. Current hours of work are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.

Main duties of the job

ROLE SUMMARY

To be the first point of contact for new referrals into service.

To offer a telephone triage to new referrals and ascertain what level of support is needed.

To liaise with internal and external agencies to bring relevant information together to help inform decision making regarding support.

To offer consultation and advice to children's services across Doncaster for children and young people, who have potentially mental health difficulties or who are at high risk of suicide, life threatening self-harm, or other Mental Health issues.

To document and record all interactions using systmone in line with the Trust standards of care, record keeping, and care planning

The post holder is required to be flexible and adaptable in order to respond to the diverse and demanding nature of this post.

A professional Nursing qualification or Occupational Therapist qualification or Social Work with current registration

Desirable
