Do you have a passion for supporting young people and a knack for building positive relationships?

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team in Preston. You'll play a vital role in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

About the Role:

  • Provide tailored support to students to help them manage their emotions and behaviours effectively.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.
  • Assist with the implementation of behaviour management strategies and interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure the holistic well-being of students.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging with learning activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.

What you'll bring:

  • A relevant qualification related to working with children in schools (e.g., Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning).
  • Previous experience working with students with SEND, SEMH, or challenging behaviour in a school setting is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the needs of all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
