We are looking for candidates who live in the Oxford/Banbury/Leamington Spa area (during the first year of your apprenticeship you will be required to work Monday to Friday at our Birmingham depot and we will cover the cost of your accommodation and travel during that time). After this you will be working and training in your local area.

To help us identify our brand new, 2024 Apprentices, we will be looking for people who will be able to demonstrate the following: Great communication skills Customer service skills (don’t worry if you do not have experience working with customers – though it is important that you can show us that you understand and recognise excellent customer service) Flexibility and adaptability A positive and can do attitude A real desire to work as an Engineer at SMT GB We also ask: That you hold GCSE grade 4 or above or equivalent passes in Maths and English It would be great if you have a driving licence but this is not essential right now You will be rewarded with a very competitive salary, which grows as you gain more experience, as well as excellent benefits including tool kit, company bonus, retail discounts, pension, medical and dental cash plan, and 33 days holiday (including bank holidays). Following successful completion of your qualification and as a fully qualified SMT GB Engineer, you’ll then become either a field or workshop-based Engineer, working in various locations from a dedicated van if field based, or in your local SMT centre if workshop based.
