About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and adaptable General Cover Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Goole. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a significant impact on students’ learning and development. The role involves covering various subjects across the curriculum, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of regular teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering engaging and effective lessons across different subjects
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies
  • Ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
  • Providing support and guidance to students, fostering their academic and personal growth
  • Collaborating with school staff to ensure the smooth running of the school day

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching environments and subjects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for education and a commitment to student success
  • A valid DBS check registered with the update service, or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
