Frieze is in the process of transforming how data systems and digital platforms drive the business. The position of Data Operations Analyst sits at the heart of this transition within the Data and Insights Team, and harnesses the huge potential in data to drive value from our user base, to optimise our fair operations and to develop our suite of Digital Products. Frieze has an unrivalled opportunity within our market to build up a world-leading data-driven CRM program for high-net-worth art professionals, art enthusiasts and collectors. Further, we are growing our subscription-based membership programmes, critical to which is a firm understanding of how our content and experience motivates and converts audience segments within our market.
Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
Monitoring and optimising data warehouse for performance and scalability Creating data pipelines between all data sources within the data ecosystem Understanding of ETL processes using Python (primarily using pandas library) and MySQL stored procedures Maintaining existing documentation for warehouse procedures and processes, and identifying new best practices Configuring, installing, and maintaining databases and data processing systems Identifying opportunities for digitalisation and automation through the data warehouse and applying optimisations in relation to these Ensuring that compliance is adhered to in the collection, storage, and use of data within our data warehouse Planning the goals of the warehouse with the Head of Data and Insights against the department’s roadmap, and designing the technical developments required to deliver against these goalsYou Will Have The Following Strengths:
Demonstrable skill of SQL and Python Good knowledge of relational databases and data warehousing Awareness of non-relational database architecture and NoSQL Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS An understanding of APIs and other ETL technologies Aptitude for working with a variety of data formats (e.g. xml, csv, json, xlsx)Working Conditions:
