The Equity-linked (EQL) team is part of our Equity Capital Markets business and is responsible for the oversight of origination and execution of a variety of EQL transactions including convertible bonds, mandatory convertibles, exchangeable bonds and other structured equity-linked securities at the cross section of debt and equity.
As an Investment Banking Analyst within the EQL team, you will assist in preparing origination / marketing materials to pitch new ideas and execute transactions for clients. You will be involved in the EQL coverage effort for a variety of corporate clients across industries and geographies in the EMEA region. You will work closely together with the broader Equity Capital Markets team and other corporate finance / capital markets teams within the bank (investment banking coverage & industry teams, mergers and acquisitions, debt capital markets, acquisition & leveraged finance and equity derivatives).

Job responsibilities
As part of the team, you’ll be required to:
Take part in origination and execution of EQL transactions led by . Morgan Draft equity market updates to corporate clients on a regular basis leveraging internal and external databases (Bloomberg, Dealogic) Prepare pricing for corporate clients across a spectrum of equity-linked products Assist the team in transaction execution including pricing, drafting / reviewing documents such as termsheets, liaising with external legal counsels, banks and clients Liaise with equity syndicate / sales / trading teams in order to gather market intelligence on an ad hoc basisRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills
Excellent academic credentials Ability to multi-task, organized, rigorous Interest in capital markets and corporate finance Ability to work within a team, in a fast-moving, results-driven environment Ability to effectively interact with sales people and research analysts, as well as corporate clients and other banks as part of working groups on projects Ability to work independently and to take initiative Proficient quantitative and analytical skills, including PowerPoint and Excel skills Excellent written and verbal communication skillsThis role encompasses the performance of regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
