An opportunity has arisen for you to join the Ultrasound team at Poole hospital, part of University Hospitals Dorset (UHD).
We have an opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated Sonographers to come and join us. We are a vibrant, friendly and supportive team providing a wide range of ultrasound examinations.
This role requires HCPC registration
Base Location: University Hospitals Dorset - All Sites
Interview Date: TBC
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate would be joining a friendly and motivated team that strives towards excellent standards of practice and patient care. As a department we live the values of UHD daily in our practice.
The successful candidate would need to be able to work both independently and as part of our team whilst demonstrating high levels of competency. Excellent communication skills, outstanding interpersonal skills together with a caring and professional attitude are essential.

Person Specification
Education
Essential
To be educated to degree level To hold a relevant Case accredited Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Ultrasound and be working towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound Be state registered
Experience
Essential
To have relevant skills and experience in the range of ultrasound techniques which are required in general and obstetric ultrasound.
Technical Skills
Essential
Excellent Clinical skills IT experience to use necessary computerised reporting system and image recording system
Desirable
Specialist in any of the following: Paediatric Hip scanning Vascular scanning Paediatric Head scanning Small parts scanning Musculoskeletal scanning Nuchal Translucency scanning accreditation 3 year post graduate experience
