JobSummary:
To beresponsible for completing a range of Repair & Maintenancework for tenanted and voids properties to a professional standardand highly productive level acting with minimum supervision and alarge degree ofselfmanagement.
To undertake arange of repair and maintenance works demonstrating proficientlevel skills and experience across a range of trades; CarpentryPlumbing Decorating Plastering and Tiling (wall and floor) inaddition to a qualified home trade. Using this wide range ofskillsets to resolve arising issues during repair and maintenancework referring only complex or extensive work to the relevant tradespecialist.
Carry out arange of specified works both as an individual craft professionalor as a member of a multiskilled team refurbishing propertiesUndertake inspection activities as directed bySupervisor/Management and when required by management to assist inemergency call outs (for example as a result of bad weathervandalism fire etc.) Work should be undertaken using innovative andoutput focused solutions assessing risk and benefits to establishsolutions.
Work in a rangeof properties throughout the borough including occupied tenanciesand void properties completing specified works to a high standardof excellence in terms of completion of jobs and withcustomers/clients.
To deliver aconsistent standard of excellence in terms of repair andmaintenance work. The role holder will be a frontlinerepresentative of Enfield working within the community incustomer/client s homes and other Council properties.This requires the role holder to possess a high degreeof professionalism andintegrity.

The role holderwill be a frontline representative of Enfield working within thecommunity in customer/client s homes and other Councilproperties.
This requiresthe role holder to possess a high degree of professionalism andintegrity.
Communicatewith a high degree of accuracy (both written and verbally) toManagement/Officer and workcolleagues.
Providingresidents and client officers with technical advice and informationrelating to the safe operational of the installation to enableimplementation of good practice relating to efficiency and wholelife costs.
To be responsible for and drive an allocated vehiclefitted with a global positioning satellite (GPS) / fleet managementsystem (Telematics) in line with agreed corporatepolicy.
The role holderis required to ensure that the vehicle is safely and correctlydriven and all plant and materials are safelystored.
The role holderis always also responsible for the content of the vehicle while intheir possession and is required to ensure the security of allmaterials and tools and that no equipment is kept in vehiclesovernight.
Willing to participate in the emergency service of thedivision involving standby attendance and working outside normalhours.
EssentialExperienceRequired:
Knowledge andskilled in delivering repairs and maintenance in main trade andskilled and proficient in associated trade skills to enable a highstandard of residentsatisfaction.
Experience ofusing handheld PDA devices for the recording ofworklflows.
Demonstrableexperience of working in the building and trades industrydelivering repairs. and maintenance works in a multi skilledapproach to socialhousing.
Experience ofworking within diverse communities of allabilities.
Experience ofworking independently making decisions required for the completionof jobs.
Experience ofworking withinteams.
Understandingof the concept of Value for Money and right first timeworking.
Working knowledge of current building regulationsconstruction industry safety regulations relevant British standardsand codes ofPractice.
Ability to diagnose and report largerrepairs.
Good H&S knowledge and ability to reportissues.
EssentialQualificationsRequired:
Full drivinglicense.
Qualified toHNC or completed a recognised craft apprenticeship NVQ/City andguilds orequivalent.
