On behalf of our client weare advertising vacancies for Social Work Assistants within theAdult Social Services Teams in Newport.

We arecurrently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social WorkAssistant to join the team on a temporary parttime basis.

As a Social Work Assistant you will work closely with theteam of social workers to provide support to vulnerable individualsand families in the community. Your main responsibilities willinclude conducting assessments creating care plans and providingpractical and emotional support to clients.

KeyResponsibilities:

Conductassessments of clients needs and develop care plans incollaboration with social workers

Providepractical and emotional support to clients including assistancewith daily tasks and activities

Maintainaccurate and uptodate records of client progress andinterventions

Liaise with other agencies andprofessionals involved in the care of clients

Attend meetings and case conferences as required

Participate in training and development opportunities toenhance your knowledge and skills

Adhere to allpolicies and procedures of the company and regulatorybodies

Maintain confidentiality and respect therights and dignity of clients at all times

Requirements:

Previous experience in a social work or care setting ispreferred

A relevant qualification in socialwork social care or a related field

Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills

Abilityto work independently and as part of a team

Empathetic and compassionate nature

Strongorganizational and timemanagement skills

Understanding of safeguarding procedures and legislation

Flexibility to work on a parttime and temporarybasis

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness toundergo one)
