An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior level PMOAnalyst to join us in Aberdeen. As Senior PMO Analyst you will support the PMO Lead to set priorities, provide coaching, direction and strategic guidance across the PMO team. In addition, you will provide support to Project and Programme Managers, helping to maintain and deliver a consistent and standardised approach to project delivery using current project frameworks and processes. You will also provide effective cost management analysis, tracking and monitoring costs against approved budgets by analysing trends.

What you’ll do

Provide coaching and direction to the PMO project team and provide support to the PMO lead Provide support to Project and Programme Managers in adherence to project processes and controls Understand the project management tools and procedures in place and ensure all projects adhere to agreed stage gates and governance processes Provide resource utilisation data by understanding the time recording and resource usage dashboards Provide effective cost management support by tracking and monitoring costs against approved budgets and analysing trends Provide guidance on project management tools and processes, ensuring these align with the project delivery framework Raise purchase requisitions and understand cost code structure Create and maintain project plans Carry out project assurance and health-check reviews Provide project governance, including change management, project status tracking, etc. Actively participate in the ongoing improvement and implementation of project processes, standards and templates for enhanced project efficiency Provide quality reviews of project documents Support the implementation of project processes, standards and templates across the department Prepare for and attend regular meetings, taking minutes/actions as required Collate and manage portfolio risks, issues and dependencies ensuring mitigating actions are in place and being progressed, escalating as required to the Programme manager Occasional travel to other locations may be required

What to bring

Proven experience of being a Senior PMO Analyst, ideally within an IT environment Financial tracking and analysis within a PMO setting A background of working within a structured Project Management Framework Knowledge of project management tools and techniques Excellent Microsoft Office skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Microsoft Project Proven experience of Project Online Excellent written and verbal communication skills Personable and approachable Flexible and autonomous approach to work Helpful ‘can do’ attitude
