British American Tobacco UK has an exciting opportunity for a Controls Manager in Southampton

This role is part of the BAT Exports Finance Team. The key purpose of this role is to ensure robust risk and control management processes are in place for Exports, and that processes supporting governance aspects are in place and adhered to.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Ensuring the Exports Statement of Delegated Authories (SoDA) is up to date and incorporates any changes in ways of working and organisation structure. Supporting the control operators in the performance of controls and, in particular, ensuring SOx evidencing requirements are clearly understood. Liaising with BCT and KPMG on control related activities including facilitating the walkthrough of processes and controls and providing information as part of the audit process. Managing the Control Navigator exercise and following up with control owners to ensure appropriate remediation plans are in place and remediation activities are completed. Managing the Risk Management & Review (Risk Committee & Risk register) process for Exports. Reviewing and approving SAP role requests, monitoring any segregation of duty issues and ensuring mitigating controls are in place. Ensuring the supplier masterdata is reviewed and up to date in line with data management processes. Ensuring the Business Continuity Plan for Exports remains up to date and relevant.

What are we looking for?

Degree educated with accountancy qualification or part quailification; A good working knowledge of SAP and MS Office; Understanding of the cigarette, leaf and new categories business and associated supply chain and finance processes; Experience of control management & SOx; Possess excellent influencing, leadership and communications skills with ability to interact with all levels of senior management; A self-starter who can identify options to solve new problems and challenges.
