We currently have a new opportunity for a Production Operator to join our Heywood site on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Team Leaders, you will ensure that products manufactured at Neogen Heywood are produced on-time, to an agreed schedule, maximising quality.
Based in Heywood, our team supports the European, Middle Eastern, African and Indian (EMEAi) territories for Neogen Corporation, a top-performing NASDAQ listed business employing over 2,800 people worldwide.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Adhering to SOP, WI, and Health & Safety etc and in cooperation with other relevant departments. Under direction from Quality Assurance, work to continually improve the product quality through ensuring that quality is built into the Production processes wherever possible to eliminate batch failures due to controllable elements. Under direction from the Health and Safety Manager, follow compliance with Health & Safety legislation and Neogen Europe policy and process, ensure that all activities undertaken are meeting those requirements and give Health & Safety its due and proper attention. Perform all duties regarding the manufacture of Neogen plates, and supplements s to the best of your ability taking into full account the requirements as described in SOPs, EOPs and any other management/quality instruction. Perform the duties required for the packing and assembly of the final product produced within PPM area as needed and following directions from SOPs and Team Leaders as necessary. Participate as requested in new product transfers into routine Production in close cooperation with Q.C. and others as required or appropriate. Maintain accurate records of use of equipment within area and ensure, as directed, that all equipment is monitored and maintained as and when required. Follow Standard Operating Procedures as and when required, participate in the updating of documents through change requests when required to ensure that all documents are accurate reflections of actual practice. To ensure that all environments within the company, but with particular regard to immediate work environment, are kept as clean and tidy as possible. All materials to be returned to appropriate storage place and waste to be disposed of cleanly and correctly. Any other duties as may be required from time to time.Skills & Experience Required:
