We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our Unscheduled Care team at HMP Brixton, a category CPrison located in London.

Hours

Full time working hours. Weekdays and Weekends.

Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to 50,400 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will

provide high-quality emergency care and minor injury treatment to patients in both primary care and acute care needs in a prison setting - performing procedures such as suturing, IV access, hemorrhage control, wound care and cardiac & CVA intervention. play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's care, working as part of a team of primary care nurses, and delivering care to patients both within the healthcare centre and on the Wings/ blocks.

Requirements

Qualified Paramedic Current professional registration (HCPC) Proven post-registration ambulance experience Evidence of continued professional development A non-judgmental and compassionate approach Minimum of 2 years experience in either: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor injuries / illness
