Main duties of the job

Primarily we are looking for an autonomous Practitioner attending to patients who wish to be seen by a health care professional; diagnosing, treating, and prescribing for patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed illness or injury assessing their needs, based on highly developed nursing skills including physical assessment. Secondarily, in an ideal world, we would prefer someone who specialises in diabetes management; however, this is not a deal breaker.

Job responsibilities

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner,you will:

Conductcomprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physicalexaminations

Order andinterpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory and radiological tests

Diagnose andtreat acute and chronic illnesses, including prescribing medications andtreatments

Provideeducation and counselling to patients on disease prevention, health promotion,and management of chronic conditions

Collaboratewith other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and socialworkers, to ensure comprehensive care for patients

Maintainaccurate and up-to-date patient records

Participatein quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects

Ensurecompliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards of practice
