This is a newly created role for a Divisional Financial Controller for the Experience Division of TPXimpact Holdings Group (‘Group’) as we continue our transformation journey to one organisation, one brand.

The Divisional Financial Controller will be responsible for maintaining financial control and helping to drive commercial performance within the business. The role will report to the Experience Division Finance Director, provide strategic, financial control and commercial intelligence to ensure that the Group's objectives are met through effective partnering, analysis and reporting. 

The role is expected to be a key member of the divisional wider leadership team and support the integration of legacy entities as well as future companies that join the Group.

The ideal candidate has significant finance, accounting and agency project management experience in the following areas: IFRS, financial statements, accounting policy, revenue arrangements including percentage of completion accounting, internal control, and financial planning and forecasting within an agency environment.

Responsibilities

Group and Divisional Reporting, Divisional Financial Control and Compliance Be an able ‘number two’ to the Divisional Finance Director, to support them to ensure that the goals and responsibilities are delivered, and that key stakeholder relationships are maintained within the Division and across the Group. Working with the Divisional FD to provide the aggregation of divisional results to Group as well as the Divisional leadership team to provide commercial intelligence to ensure operational and strategic decisions are made on the basis of sound financial analysis and insight.  Management of the monthly divisional management accounts and balance sheet review processes; constant evolution of the control processes in place including standardisation of the divisional internal control processes, working closely with the Divisional FD and wider Group Finance team to ensure compliance with Group policies. Guiding and mentoring the other finance team members to ensure timely completion of the month end results to Flash, and then subsequent completion to Actuals. Review the work performed by the Finance Manager and Assistants, to ensure that the general ledger in the accounting system (NetSuite) is maintained to a high standard. Includes the review of sales invoicing, accrued and deferred revenue, and approval of journals posted to the system ensuring that the allocation and classification of costs is in line with Divisional and Group policies. Period review of revenue charged to other divisions, costs recharged from other divisions, and oversight of intercompany reconciliations.  Identification of balance sheet risks and subsequent mitigation. Compliance with all external audit, internal audit, HMRC and corporate governance requirements. Collaborating with the Group and Divisional team and business enablement functions to establish more effective processes and controls. Design, implement and lead on the monthly budget holder review process.

Financial forecasting, planning, analysis and business partnering

Manage the division’s invoice and cash collection activities with the Finance Manager. Responsible for the rolling 13 week cash forecasting for the Experience Division, with regular reviews of cash collection from customers across the entities making up the division. Driving high levels of performance through effective business partnering and working with the Operations team (including delivery management) to understand the pipeline of projects, the likely impact on monthly results and subsequent cash collection requirements. Support the drive for continued best in class operational efficiencies. Understanding trading risks and ensuring protections are built into transactions whenever appropriate. Identification of trading performance risks with clear articulation to the Divisional FD and Group Finance Director.

Finance process and system change within the current organisation

Support the Divisional FD in building an integrated Experience divisional finance team structure that will evolve with the operational changes within the Division (and wider Group). Take a proactive role on streamlining processes and operational finance in conjunction with the operations team to ensure inefficiencies from the integration of three legacy businesses are eliminated. Serve as the primary point of contact within the Divisional Finance Team and escalation for finance integration activities between all parties, ensuring succinct communication, unified efforts, and clarity around objectives to Divisional FD.
