WHAT TO EXPECT

The Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC) is a Brand-New State-of-the-Art production facility to produce the next generation of advanced engines to power the future vehicles of the JLR Brand.

Powertrain Production Operations is responsible for the manufacture of the new JLR engine to support the next generation of JLR vehicles. Delivering a premium product, the production operations team will establish, introduce and develop the new facility to ensure a first-class service to our customer base. Ultimately responsible for producing engines to a world class standard.

As a Process Leader, you will act as a key leader within the Operations team, running a team of Team Leaders and associates within the Machining Halls at the EPMC. The Process Leader will not only manage the team, but will also oversee the fostering of teamwork and continuous improvement, acting as a role model for the Powertrain values, and leading the SQDCPE agenda for the area.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Manage and report shift performance to senior management on daily/ weekly/ monthly basis Coach and Lead shift Teams in achieving all SQDCPE objectives in Line with Creators Code Coach and Lead team Leaders to ensure that they and the facility are production ready to meet all Launch Milestones Supervision of skilled and semi-skilled associates, including Team Leaders, Maintenance and Production Operators to ensure achievement of quality and production objectives Driving cost, budget control and quality improvements with a keen customer focus Ensuring continuous improvement within the area of responsibility and supporting the associates in continuous improvement events and activities Prioritize Maintenance activities on a shift-by-shift basis Drive Constraint management through the value stream and ensure bottlenecks are identified to remove inefficiencies in the process Ensuring that the Area operates to the Integrated Production System(IPS) principles and standards, using the latest Quality Operating System (QOS) techniques Be responsible and adhere to the Safety Operating Systems(SOS) during all stages of Launch/ROC/steady state production Support employee attendance initiatives and manage absence control activities such as counselling, capability and disciplinary procedures Implement Company Policy on pay and benefits including administration tasks
