Position: High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Special Educational Needs

As a High Level Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with a range of complex learning difficulties, including ASD. The school is equipped with excellent facilities designed to meet the diverse needs of our students, ensuring they have the resources and environment necessary to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise your expertise as an HLTA to provide individualised support and guidance to students with ASD and other complex learning difficulties, both in and out of the classroom setting.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement personalised learning plans that address the unique needs of each student.
  • Facilitate structured activities and interventions that promote social skills development, communication, and sensory regulation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • HLTA qualified, to either L2 or L3 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond effectively to the diverse needs and challenges of students within a specialised SEN school environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying abreast of current research and best practices in the field of SEN education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
