Working alongside the Police in custody suites caring for detainees. We are required to cover the custody suites 24/7 to ensure the safety of detainees, to a pattern agreed with the customer.

Salary £40,000 per year £1000 bonus when completed 12 months service. Full time - this entails fixed shift working: 06:45 to 19:00 for day shifts and night shifts of 18:45 to 07:00, working in a team rota pattern of 4 shifts on and 4 off. Rolling rota available 2 years in advance. Average estimated overtime £3500 per annum NMC/HCPC Registration paid No previous forensic experience required as full training will be given.

The role requires the flexibility to work not only in your base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area.

Main duties of the job

The custody suites can be an energetic place to work, with no two shifts the same. Whilst detained, we provide individuals with all their physical, mental healthcare and wellbeing needs, as well as gather any forensic samples needed by the police to aid their investigations. Making careful records on our computerised systems, you'll be assessing whether people are fit to be detained or released, administering medications when needed, and working with local Liaison and Diversion teams to address root cause issues that can prevent future crime.

Salary £36,720 per year + £1000 bonus when completed 12 months service. Full time (4 on, 4 off) and Part time roles available shifts will include days and Nights.

Average estimated overtime £3500 per annum

As a qualified nurse or paramedic, you can have a career within the criminal justice system helping some of the most vulnerable people in society who we believe should have the right to healthcare to ensure their health and wellbeing is at the centre of our care approach.
