Job Title: Mechatronic Maintenance Technician

PURPOSE OF ROLE

We are seeking an Apprentice engineer who will learn and develop into Mechatronic Maintenance Technician. This is a new apprenticeship role and will develop. This will involve learning a wide range of skills. Safety protocols, preventative maintenance, attending to breakdowns, carrying out machinery overhauls, completing remedial correctives and improving the plants availability and reliability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensuring planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is carried out, reducing the risk of downtime. Capable of effective prioritisation of tasks and personal time management. Able to work unsupervised and prioritise their own time and activities. Have strong analytical skills, supporting fast and effective problem solving. Machine tool experience. Flexibility to support any unplanned maintenance activities as required Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class

JOB KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

A qualification in IT/IS is preferrable Enthusiasm for manufacturing Possess a positive, practical attitude towards problem solving Willingness to adopt lean manufacturing principles Self-motivated, able to work under own initiative and without close supervision Focused towards working within a devoted and continuously improving health and safety culture Ability to work under pressure and achieve tight deadlines
