WHAT TO EXPECT

The Vehicle Safety Test Laboratory tests the safety attributes of JLR vehicles in line with cycle plan and programme demands. 

Working within the Vehicle Safety Test Laboratory at Gaydon, you will prepare and conduct component, system or vehicle tests to meet development and sign-off requirements. A wide range of modern sled, quasi-static and dynamic rigs are used to test Pedestrian Impact, Interior Head Impacts, Bumpers, Instrument Panels, Body/Chassis structures, Crash Sensing Systems, Seats, Restraints, other systems and components.

You will need to be availible to work rotating shifts if required. ( Mon - Fri between - - no nights ) 


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities 

Deliver test timing plans in accordance with programme demand Conduct tests in line with internal and external test standards  Produce sign-off reports suitable for homologation Review and improve processes and implement change Liaise with internal depts including compliance teams and with external accreditation agencies

Mechanical Engineering background  Knowledge of instrumentation and principles of use  Experience of test laboratory environment Good communication and presentation skills to all levels Flexible team player, who is self-motivated to deliver good quality service
