Medical Lead Rare Disease

The Opportunity
CSL Vifor is looking for a Medical Lead Rare Disease reporting to the Head of Medical UK & Ireland.
Remote opportunity with requirement of working in our Maidenhead office 1-2 days a week.
The role
Represent Medical Affairs externally to establish and maintain medical relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), HCPs and key accounts on behalf of CSL Vifor
Execute country medical plans locally by representing the medical expertise in TAs and products and through scientific engagement with the medical community
Provide disease state education, medical information and research support
Share scientific insights from medical community interactions with local & global medical teams, ensuring capturing of field medical expertise
Train colleagues internally, all in accordance with global and local compliance and regulations
Member of the medical leadership team, helping shape the development of the local medical strategy
Management of country Medical budget
Compliance of local Medical processes with local laws, regulations & codes, and company processes
Act as ABPI final signatory or AQP signatory or non-medical signatory (when ABPI code changes made) depending on qualifications
Your skills and Experience
GMC registered medical doctor or Registered pharmacist or higher life science degree (eg phD)
At least 2 years’ experience in medical role (eg MSL, medical advisor, medical information)
Good knowledge of ABPI code of practice
Demonstrated experience in KOL, HCP or medical community engagementExcellent oral and written communication skills; experience with digital communication;
Experience in public scientific presentations
Rare disease experience
Launch experience
Strong track record in KOL engagement
Experience in clinical research
Experience in literature review and analysis
Experience in planning and delivering Medical Trainings
