The post holder must be able to demonstrate advanced autonomous specialist skills in the holistic assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for the cohort of patients within the Stroke speciality. This will necessitate high levels of autonomy and advocacy, using analytical and judgemental skills in undertaking differential diagnosis to ensure the delivery of appropriate care. To be responsible for educating, advising and supporting other professional and non-professional carers of people with Stroke.

The post holder will be expected to lead the Stroke Practitioner team, to support them to perform their role and provide high quality care to the patients.
