CR Civil Engineering part of the RSK Group have a great opportunity for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in the Oxfordshire area, UK.
The Role:
The Graduate QS is responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. Guided and advised by our experienced QS team.
Main tasks of the role:
- Maintain contract documentation and advise on tender and post contract matters.
- Preparation and issue of contractual letters/emails to clients and/or sub-contractors.
- Site Measurement.
- Preparation and submission of Early warnings.
- Preparation, submission and agreement of variations & Compensation Events.
- Preparation, submission and agreement of interim valuations and final accounts.
- Preparation and submission of monthly cost and project reporting, including CTC
- Agreement and certification of sub-contractor’s interim valuations and final account.
- Liaison with Site Management regarding issuing and updating programmes.
- Have a basic understanding of NEC4 Contract
- Have a basic understanding of how to read construction works information
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Current CSCS card
- BSC Hons in Quantity Surveying and/or HNC/HND in a construction related course desirable but not essential
- QS experience in construction industry
- Ability to use own initiative
- Be competent in using Microsoft Word/Excel
- Thrive at problem solving and be able to achieve strict deadlines
- Full clean UK driving license
