The Position

We’re seeking a Commercial Data Business Partner to spearhead some of our most important and dynamic business initiatives.

Summary of the Role

Howden is in search of a Commercial Data Business Partner to cultivate robust and trusted relationships with our business. As a Commercial Data Business Partner, you will collaborate closely with our broking and functional support divisions across our global teams, ensuring top-class client satisfaction with our commercial offerings. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the main point of contact, translating client needs into solutions that leverage commercial expertise to maximize data usage and support clients in achieving their business goals.

Responsibilities

Oversee the delivery of services to clients, including carrier engagement and insights, dashboards, and trading platforms. Serve as the primary contact for client inquiries, ensuring efficient and effective resolutions. Assist in defining solution options and providing recommendations tailored to meet client needs. Conduct comprehensive commercial analysis and generate reports/presentations to support various projects. Develop new business proposals aligned with business requirements. Identify and assess risks, communicating these to relevant stakeholders and facilitating mitigating actions. Stay abreast of the market landscape, including competitors, potential changes/risks, industry standards, and new opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between client needs and business objectives.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Data Business Partner, Account Manager, Broker, Consultant or similar role, preferably within an insurance-focused environment  Familiarity with London Market operations, including Lloyds, IUA, LPSO, LPC, etc. Understanding of regulatory environments and requirements, such as FCA rules, data protection, money laundering, and specific standards of insureds’ professional bodies. Finance experience is desirable but not mandatory. Highly organized with excellent planning, prioritization, and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot opportunities for business growth. Customer-focused approach with exceptional interpersonal, consultative, and collaborative skills. Ability to manage expectations and effectively communicate with stakeholders. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
