Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Hays are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Exeter. As an Assistant QS, you will play a crucial role in supporting the commercial team and contributing to the successful delivery of residential development projects.
Some of your responsibilities might include:

  • Assist in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management for construction projects.
  • Collaborate with senior surveyors to ensure accurate measurement and valuation of works.
  • Monitor project progress, variations, and subcontractor payments.
  • Contribute to contract administration and procurement processes.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and clients.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
  • Full driving licence (car allowance provided).
