EYFS Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Support young children as they transition into the new academic year, ensuring a smooth and positive start.
- Assist the Early Years Teacher in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that fosters the social, emotional, and educational development of each child.
- Help children develop routines and adjust to the classroom setting.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to children as needed, ensuring they receive the attention they need to thrive.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and caregivers to support each child's individual needs.
- Monitor and record children's progress, providing regular feedback to the teacher and parents.
- Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and maintaining a safe and clean learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- A caring and patient nature, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and effective teaching strategies.
- Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare would be an advantage but are not essential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
