We have an exciting opportunity for a well organised and self-motivated Lecturer in Accounting to join the East Durham College Team on a full time basis. The Successful candidate will work closely with the ED6 team and the work based learning team  

Main Duties of the Role:

The purpose of the post is to work flexibly and efficiently to maintain the highest professional standards in the delivery of allocated teaching programmes, including the associated organisational, coordination and administrative responsibility.

Main duties of the post will require the successful candidate to undertake formal scheduled teaching, which includes preparation, assessment, and evaluation of delivery.  Along with associated duties aligned with course leadership and the promotion of the programme.

Essential Requirement:

  1. Level 3 or above qualification in AAT / Accounting or Finance
  2. Assessors Award (D32/D33, A1, or Training Assessment qualification) or willing to work towards
  3. A level 4 teaching qualification (Cert Ed/ PGCE/DTLLS) or willing to work towards
  4. Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy qualifications
